General Overview

These guidelines help participants understand expectations at Recovery Resources Recovery Homes and inform the public of our standards. Guidelines are subject to change. This list is not exhaustive; participants should use common sense and consult staff with questions.

Our program is designed to foster personal growth, organization, and teamwork. Weekly house meetings address issues, concerns, and business. Immediate issues should be addressed directly with staff.

Zero Tolerance Policy

  • Relapse (including misuse/abuse of medications)
  • Refusal to submit to screenings
  • Failure to secure prescription medications
  • Violence or possession of weapons
  • Criminal activity
  • Bigotry
  • Unauthorized guests
  • Knowledge of rule violations without reporting
  • Disregard for house rules
  • Bullying
  • Disrespect towards staff or residents
  • Disturbance of neighbors

Admissions

Applicants must submit an application. Recovery Housing requires commitment to recovery and willingness to thrive beyond addiction.

Drug/Alcohol Screening

Weekly drug/alcohol screenings are mandatory. Positive tests or refusals result in immediate discharge.

Medication Policies

Disclosure of all medications is required. Medications must be kept in lockboxes. Certain prescriptions are not allowed. Consult directors before starting new medications.

Groups & Employment

Participants must secure legal employment within 30 days. Attendance at recovery meetings and outpatient services is required.

Personal Belongings

Residents are responsible for their belongings. Valuables should be secured at all times.

Personal Cleanliness & Chores

Residents must keep their rooms clean and participate in daily house chores.

Respect & Consideration

Residents should respect each other, property, and the community. Visitors must adhere to house rules.

Goals & Progress

Participants must submit monthly goal sheets and demonstrate progress.

Phase System

Participants progress through phases, earning privileges as they comply with guidelines and grow in recovery.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome and must sign in/out. Visitors are subject to rules and screenings.

Supervision, Administration, and Oversight

Staff provide daily supervision and oversight. The home has 24-hour surveillance.

Partnerships and Connections

Participants must comply with external entities’ policies (e.g., Recovery Courts) and sign Releases of Information.

Payment

  • Move-in fee: $200 (non-refundable)
  • Weekly fee: $150
  • Late fee: $30/week ($5/day)

Payment plans are available.

Motor Vehicle Operation

Participants must have a valid driver’s license and insurance. Proof must be provided to directors.

Liability

Recovery Resources is not liable for theft, loss of property, injury, or death due to negligence, irresponsible behavior, or rule violations.
