Third Annual Polar Plunge

Join us on February 22nd for the Third Annual Recovery Resources TN Polar Plunge at Warrior’s Path State Park, Duck Island – Pavilions 4 and 5. Due to Hurricane Helene, our location has changed, but the spirit of fun and community remains the same. You can either take the plunge or be a supportive spectator. ALL proceeds from this fundraiser will establish a scholarship fund for local high school students in Upper East Tennessee impacted by substance abuse, helping them pursue secondary education.

As an organization deeply rooted in both personal and programmatic experiences, we understand the turmoil that substance abuse inflicts not only on individuals but also on their families, especially children. Serving at the forefront of substance abuse recovery and post-incarceration, we recognize the profound lack of support available to children grappling with these challenges. While resources often focus on individuals recovering from substance use disorders, it’s crucial to extend compassion and opportunities to their children to prevent them from repeating the cycles that ensnared their parents.

Our intentional aim as a recovery community organization is to empower future community leaders by providing students with the essential support, hope, and inspiration to transform generational cycles. We are dedicated to offering resources and encouragement that foster resilience, enabling young individuals to realize their potential and envision a brighter future. Having experienced the neglect of responsibilities toward our own children during addiction, we are resolutely committed to helping future generations break familial patterns. Through this scholarship fund, we uphold our mission to empower our communities to thrive beyond addiction, firmly believing that by empowering our children, we nurture a cycle of positive change.
